Miles Carter

Miles Carter is an American guitarist and songwriter whose melodic approach to electric guitar forms a defining part of Los Angeles indie-rock band Silver Saints. Born in 2002, Carter developed an early interest in guitar-driven alternative music, becoming particularly fascinated by the relationship between rhythm, melody and instrumental texture. Rather than concentrating exclusively on guitar solos or technical complexity, he began experimenting with interlocking guitar parts, clean melodic phrases and lightly overdriven rhythmic patterns. His playing combines the brightness of indie pop with the energy of alternative rock, creating arrangements that feel both infectious and musically considered. In 2023, Carter began collaborating with singer-songwriter Ethan Cole. Their shared interest in memorable guitar music established the foundations of Silver Saints, with Carter providing instrumental arrangements that complemented Cole's conversational songwriting. Following the addition of bassist Noah Brooks and drummer Tyler Hayes, Carter became an important influence on the band's musical direction. Their debut single, Conversation Dancer, highlights his approach through bright rhythmic guitar work and melodic hooks that reinforce the song's energetic but bittersweet atmosphere. As Silver Saints develop their catalogue, Carter remains focused on exploring new guitar textures, stronger instrumental interplay and arrangements that balance accessibility with individuality.
