About
Noah Brooks is an American bassist and backing vocalist whose melodic playing forms an essential part of Los Angeles indie-rock band Silver Saints. Born in 2000, Brooks developed an early appreciation for rhythm-driven music, becoming particularly interested in the relationship between bass, percussion and melody. Rather than treating the bass as a purely supporting instrument, he developed a style that brings movement and personality to the arrangements. His playing combines warm, rounded tones with rhythmic independence, creating bouncing basslines that complement the band's bright guitars and energetic drums. In 2023, Brooks joined singer Ethan Cole and guitarist Miles Carter during the formation of Silver Saints. His arrival helped transform their early songwriting partnership into a more complete band, introducing melodic grooves that gave their music a distinctive, danceable character. Alongside drummer Tyler Hayes, Brooks forms a rhythm section that balances tight musical precision with the spontaneity of live performance. The band's debut single, Conversation Dancer, showcases his approach through an infectious bass groove that reinforces the song's restless energy and bittersweet atmosphere. As Silver Saints develop their catalogue, Brooks remains focused on creating basslines that are memorable without becoming unnecessarily complicated, ensuring that rhythm remains central to the band's musical identity.
